Antarctic Numerical Weather Prediction

Antarctic NWP at OSU serves as a backup to the Antarctic Mesoscale Prediction System (AMPS), an NSF-sponsored real-time modeling collaboration between the National Center for Atmospheric Research and Ohio State's Polar Meteorology Group. The system was upgraded to MM5V3.6 and the webpage updated on 20030917. Forecasts are now initialized twice daily (00 and 12 UTC) and extended to 120 hrs. New forecasts should be on the server about 13-14 hours after initialization time. transparent.gif (810 bytes)
